This valve is intended for use on Department of Transportation (DOT) cylinders, excluding Type DOT-4L cylinders, charged with nitrogen not exceeding 2,200 PSI. The valves include a listed high pressure gauge.

Each valve is provided with a rupture disc device, Type CG-1, which is a non-reclosing pressure-relief device actuated by inlet static pressure, and designed to release excess pressure of a normal charged cylinder, when exposed to abnormal conditions, by bursting a pressure containing disk. Model N100 is designed to burst at a maximum pressure of 3,360PSI at 160 Degree Fahrenheit.
